The Hillis Group LLC Technology Department is offering an entry-level part-time opportunity to a recent college graduate who majored in Information Technology. This is a paid, part-time position based out of our headquarters in Easton, PA. The Official Job title is IT Trainee.

Job Responsibilities

• Be participative in knowledge transition sessions and work on applying knowledge acquired in college, trade school, or on the job training to on the job training.
• Complete assignments in a thorough, consistent, and punctual manner
• Understand and follow best practices, standards and technical approaches

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Recent recipient of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering
• Self-directed learner with the ability to learn quickly and pursue each rotation with enthusiasm and focus
• Adapt to change quickly
• A good balance between analytical and technical skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to lift to 50Lbs
• Mobile Support (iPad, iPhone, Android)

Typical Tasks

• Validate backups completed successfully and report to management any issues or problems
• Networking may include setup of printers, scanners, copiers, routers and troubleshooting networking issues.
• Laptop defragmentation, refreshes, and imaging.
• Renewal of SSL Certificates
• Vulnerability checks and assessments
• Remote office/mobile office setup and shutdown in NJ, NY, DE, WV, Virginia, OH, and PA.
• Assist Remote/home-based users, as well as in office end-users.
• Backup and recovery both locally and to the cloud
• Printers changing of ink, ordering of supplies, troubleshooting and fixing printer issues.
• Telephony both POTs lines and Cellular hardware and software.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications 2016 and Office 365.
• Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing, have a clean driving record, and proof of a clean license and insurance.
• Basic Electrical knowledge is a plus • Basic Electrical and IT Tool kit is a plus

Position Summary: Responsible for supporting the Network Services and Data Center Operations teams with the implementation of various IT initiatives. Intern will be given specific tasks with instructions on how the tasks are to be completed. Intern will report daily on progress on completing tasks and any issues they encounter during their work. Intern will work 20 hours a week and will be contracted for a period that will correspond with the Kutztown University’s Academic Calendar. The Internship may be extended an additional Semester/Session(s) at the agreement of the Intern and Brenntag North America, Inc.

Responsibilities Can Include:
• Assist Network Engineers and Data Center Operations teams with the implementation of various IT initiatives.
• Use appropriate tools to monitor and troubleshoot network and data center operations.
• Troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network and server-related problems
• Open tickets with providers and technology partners, taking ownership or the issue, and following escalation procedures to ensure timely resolutions
• Assist with software deployments and other routine maintenance tasks
• Completing of an Intern Evaluation of Internship at the end of each three-month period
• Performs additional duties and assignments as requested

2019 Summer Internship Program in New York | Careers at New York

Practising Law Institute (“PLI”), an innovative leader in legal education programs and services, is searching for a small team of enthusiastic interns to join PLI for an 8-week internship program this summer. INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SUMMARY
The internship program will begin on June 3rd and end on July 26th in our midtown Manhattan office. This is a paid internship at the rate of $16 per hour. A typical work schedule will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (including an unpaid one hour lunch break), Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Friday.

PLI closes early on Friday during the summer months. Our internship program will offer students the opportunity to learn, perform tasks and take part in projects that relate to their academic majors.
