Quality Assurance Support Specialist Position at Viddler

About the Role:

Viddler helps healthcare networks build strong relationships with their employees and the communities that they serve. We are looking for a QA specialist to help us produce quality software to support our mission.
In addition to working with our technical team, you will provide support to clients which will involve hearing directly from them issues they may be having and helping them resolve those issues.
This role is key in helping us hear directly from clients how we best can produce effective and helpful solutions for them.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute test plans across supported configurations and document results
  • Identify issues and create detailed issue/bug reports and feedback for the development team
  • Verification of upcoming releases and identify issues and create detailed issue/bug reports
  • Reproducing and documenting issues reported by customers and support team
  • Refine and improve QA process, including test automation
  • Interacting with both technical and nontechnical team members 
Qualifications:
  • Computer science experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to write and understand technical documentation
  • Preferable: Experience with web technologies
  • Preferable: Experience implementing automated testing tools
  • Preferable: Knowledge or familiarity with some or all of the following technical areas:  API’s, Web Inspectors (Firebug or Chrome Dev Tools), HTML, CSS, HTML5, Javascript, Python, PHP
  • Previous QA, Technical support or software development experience is a plus

Wernersville State Hospital

We are seeking applicants for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Human Services Engineering Scientific and Technical Intern program at Wernersville State Hospital. We will offer the (2) chosen applicants a yearlong internship at $13.56 per hour, working 20+ hours a week when classes are in session, and up to 37.5 hours a week during semester and vacation breaks. Interviews are expected to be held March 14th, 2019 through March 22nd, 2019. The internship will run from May 13th, 2019 until April 24th, 2020.

We are only interested in applicants who will be a full time junior or senior during this period and who are willing to commit to working the entire time frame and hours mentioned above. Work hours, especially during the time period that classes are in session will be flexible within the parameters of your school schedule, course load, and day time IT office hours. (7 am – 3 pm weekdays)

Wernersville State Hospital will provide an opportunity for the student intern to develop skills with various facets of IT support and troubleshooting and applying basic help desk and computer technical skills. The student will be able to develop interpersonal skills through interactions with the Information Technology staff and other hospital employees. The student will gain insight into employer and workplace expectations of employees and their job performance. Opportunities will be presented in which the student will be able to develop writing, oral, organizational, and technological skills.

Work in this internship will involve working with databases, scripting, and duties in all phases of computer help desk and technical trouble shooting and repair. The student will be asked to take part in doing computer maintenance, inventorying of equipment, configuring and rollout of equipment, basic troubleshooting, user training, and many other tasks that fall under the duties of a computer technician. The intern will also provide support with audio-visual equipment, teleconference & video conference equipment, phones, and digital signage equipment. Other non-technical duties may include general office duties that would normally take place in the Information Technology office, such as filing, typing, inventory verification, and interacting with other employees.

A general aptitude for working with computers and Microsoft Windows (Win7, and Win10) and Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access is required. Interns will receive In Service training for the hospital and IT office, and will receive on the job training.
