Position: IT Service Center Technician

Duration: 3 Month Contract Renewed every quarter

Pay Rate: 16hr

Location: 1830 N Route 130, Burlington, New Jersey, 08016-3020, United States – Hybrid 2 days a week onsite after Labor Day

 

Top Skills' Details

Strong interpersonal, customer service and general soft skills are required. Team oriented, go getter individual is very important.

 

  1. Need to have 6 months minimum work experience on a Help Desk
  2. Strong documentation skills, and experience with a ticketing system (ServiceNow)
  3. Troubleshooting experience, passwords and/or POS systems
  4. Familiar with the Microsoft Authenticator Process is a big PLUS

Job Description

  1. Provide technical assistance with a focus on phone, email, walk-up and ticketing support for a variety of requests –
  2. Point of Sale (POS)/Mobile POS system ( Frontend software and hardware)
  3. Network (WAN,LAN, VPN, Firewall, Wireless)
  4. Servers (Windows/Linux)
  5. Telephony (store, corporate systems, voice mail, fax, mobile device and carrier services)
  6. Desktop hardware/software support and troubleshooting( Printers, imaging, map drives, encryption, components)
  7. Application Support
  8. Drive down store issues and offline procedures
  9. Work with and escalate third party vendors (carriers, IBM, Wincore, OKI…etc)
  10. Accurately documents and reports problems using the ServiceNow ticket management system including but not limited to: Categorizing, prioritizing, and keeping incident status up to date as well as closure notes
  11. Troubleshoot supported network equipment and perform efficient resolutions to return service platforms to high stability, including cable modems,T1 and other services and technologies as needed via telephone, e-mail, web and onsite at customer locations as needed.
  12. Assist with the monitoring, management and support of equipment and services provided to customers either directly or via third-parties.
  13. Assist with the installation, configuration and management of network equipment as assigned.
  14. Using pre-defined templates -- document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for performing repeatable tasks, and create Knowledge Base articles that walk customers through the steps of using and configuring various technologies
  15. Send appropriate communications/notification to business, Shift Turnover, incident reporting, management reports
  16. Activity drives and analyzes the source of problems reported, locate trends, and recommend measures that would minimize or eliminate future occurrences.
  17. Help train others and document knowledge for self help

Customer Service

  1. The technician will interface with multiple levels of customers -- to include standard users, Management, VIP’s and Technical Staff – and will communicate and operate across all support tiers, while providing updates to users regarding the status of issues and requests until resolved.
  2. Drive customer escalations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong deductive listening and reading/writing comprehension is required. Initiative to develop personally and professionally without prompting. Must be able to work in a team environment.

  2. Mostly working with hardware, plugging in desktops in preparation for return to office.
  3. Some software and app knowledge but not necessary, can be taught (Win 10, Active Directory , Office 365)

 

Job Description

Ryan and Juan are under a strict deadline with the new return to office initiative. They need 10 contractors to perform basic PC troubleshooting & PC setups. They will assist in setting up corporate employee workstations , plugging in desktops , cable management , etc. Might be some Active Directory , Windows 10 , and Office 365 involvement but very minimal. Juan said that was all teachable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic PC troubleshooting and PC setups . Setting up workstations for the employees that are returning to office.
