POSITION SUMMARY

The primary duty of the Senior Data Analyst is to provide analytical support to all business users across Cross MediaWorks. This position will act as a team lead in the department that manages initiatives to enhance and maintain Cross MediaWorks analytical environment.  Also, the Senior Data Analyst will review internal processes, suggest enhancements and take action to implement approved solutions.  A successful team member in this position will implements advanced analytical thinking to tasks.  This position will also act as a mentor to coworkers, transferring knowledge to enhance the skill sets of peers.

PROJECT DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Document new learnings of end user terms, data, metric and processes and translate business needs into well formulated business questions.
·        Develop wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes based on requirements from the end user.
·        Generate work flow diagrams that provide clear visibility into business processes.
·        Maintain documentation on all processes and procedures.
·        Track tasks and task hours in Team Foundation Server (TFS).
·        Identify and alert BI management of any discovered data inaccuracies.
·        Meet with BI management to update on project milestones.
·        Review reports for accuracy and data integrity.
·        Document use cases and data verification steps for QA.
·        Train SMEs on reporting and research tools.
·        Provide end user support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
·        Create and submit Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Request for Change (RFC) and Method of Procedure (MOP) as required.
·        Create detailed technical documents detailing BI projects and user guides with clear step by step instructions.
·        Migrate projects from development into production.
·        Create sites and logins when required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Track and report against key corporate and departmental KPIs.
·        Comply with policies associated with the use and access of data.
·        Audit databases for inaccuracies.
·        Complete ad hoc research requests from management.
·        Document ad hoc workflows and provide support for automation.
·        Contribute to a team environment and complete required training to improve skills.
·        Guide junior staff in maintaining end user reports and dashboards.
·        Review and provide feedback on work completed by Junior Data Analysts as assigned.
·        Research new trends in data visualization.  Attend seminars and conferences.  Document learnings and transfer knowledge to the BI team.
·        Research vendor products that can create greater departmental workflow efficiencies or innovative solutions to business needs.
·        Provide direction and analytical support to IT on projects and initiatives.
·        Examine how specific functions of the company are performing and advise management through meetings and reports of suggested enhancements.
·        Identify, analyze and interpret trends/patterns in large datasets.
·        Produce presentations for internal and external corporate meetings.
·        Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

·        Financial metric(s): Focus and specialize in automation techniques and programmatic thinking to mitigate resource waste and increase project throughput.
·        Operating metric(s): Strict adherence to the timelines established for the project.  Quick resolution of any conflicts that might affect on-time completion of tasks.
·        Qualitative metric(s): Work as a team with other BI personnel and coordinate any efforts with other departments involved in the same projects.  Contributes to a positive team environment.
·        Technology metric(s): Expand knowledge of current tools and discover new ways to provide greater analytical impact to end users.
·        Implementation metric(s): Successful deployment of BI solutions to end users meeting all documented requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical/Functional Competencies  

·        Ability to work independently and with a team to achieve department objectives.
·        Detailed oriented with advanced analytical abilities.
·        Strong communication and presentation skills.
·        Interest in learning new tools through cross-training and independent study.  Takes action to integrate new skills into daily activities.
·        Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines assigned by management.
·        Ability to collaborate across the organization to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

Key Experiences/Achievements 

·        5+ years work experience in an analytical position.
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting or related field experience (advanced degree preferred)
·        Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas, Graphs).
·        Proficient in all Microsoft products.
·        3+ years experience in SQL.  SSIS and SSRS experience preferred.
·        1+ years experience in Tableau, Pentaho, Qlik or other data visualization tools.
·        Understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
·        Strong Knowledge of Relational Database design (OLAP & OLTP). Data Warehouse design or Big Data technologies (SPARK, HDFS) preferred.
·        1+ years C#, JavaScript, Python or R experience preferred.
·        Understanding of the media business model, media buys, media math and media metrics preferred.
·        Experience in the media industry preferred.

SALARY: $55,000 - $75,000

T-Mobile USA Digital Forensics Internship (undergraduate)

Job Description:    
This internship is to provide dedicated and specialized Digital Forensic support and case development assistance to the Corporate Investigations Team and other business partners as warranted. To provide eDiscovery support for the Corporate Investigations team and the Legal Affairs Department on a variety of litigation and/or employment matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes T-Mobile proprietary software and applications to collect and preserve documents and digital evidence.
  • Supports various types of investigations and litigation, working in coordination with Corporate Investigators, Attorneys and Paralegals.
  • Performs forensic preservations of laptops, desktops, and other digital media. 
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management


Qualifications:
Strong problem solving abilities and strong critical thinking.
Proven ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information.
Knowledge of computer systems and network infrastructure
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of data collection and preservation techniques
