Position Description

To analyze work requests from customers and provide designing / programming expertise for development and fixes of software ensuring high quality service and product is delivered to customers within agreed budgets and time frames. See the position description details and APPLY NOW.

Role Responsibilities/Accountability

• Liaise with BA’s/Developers to ensure understanding of client’s requirements
• Assist BA’s with definition of customer requirements
• Develop Technical Specifications documents
• Design and programming of agreed developments / modifications to system
• Testing of code and quality assurance of system
• Promotion of benefits of system to existing and new customers
• Ensuring standards and procedures are followed at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Education

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering or information systems with less than 2 year's relevant experience
• Strong technical skills with Java/J2EE, SQL and UNIX, or Microsoft .NET/SQL Server.

Desirable Skills and knowledge

• PL/SQL Development:
• Knowledge of PL/SQL
• Working knowledge of ClearQuest/ClearCase
• Unix Shell Scripting
• Oracle Forms & Reports
• Java Development
• Knowledge of Java / Patterns / Frameworks
• Object Oriented Design and Development skills
• Ant build tool
• JUnit testing tool
• Clear Quest
• .NET Development
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft’s Visual Studio and VB.NET
