Consumer
& Marketing Analytics Function
At
Lincoln there is a huge opportunity to improve end customer experience and
engagement through better design and integration of products, channels and
touch points – both online and offline. The mandate of this new team is to enable
a marketing and customer experience transformation by supporting the creation
of marketing strategies and capabilities based on customer insights,
preferences, attitudes and behaviors.
The
group is also partnering with Enterprise IT and Business stakeholders to
develop a shared data analytics capability for Lincoln’s Retirement Plan
Services (RPS) and Group Protection business units.
By
gaining an understanding of the end consumer Lincoln aims to create an
increased level of personalization and relevancy with its interactions with its
customers, both buyers and sellers – all based on a foundation of data and
analytics.
The
charter of this newly-developed group at Lincoln is responsible for identifying
effective strategies for engaging and marketing to consumers, building and owning
consumer data systems and running data analytics for targeting consumers. The
team is also leading the development of “test and learn” capability that will
support both businesses.
THE
ROLE
The
Analyst, Data & Analytic Platforms under the Consumer & Marketing
Analytics group will design and build consumer data assets. S/he will work with
the AVP of Data & Analytic Platforms to understand the data &
analytical deliverables & priorities and will deliver on short term and
strategic data needs for Consumer and Marketing Analytics.
S/he will also gain expertise on a
number of analytic tools and technologies that will be implemented in the
future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Have
an investigative mindset towards data(in-house and public), proactively identify
issues & potential value to the team, and operationalize those datasets for
analytic use cases
·
Builds
and delivers tools and data assets for Consumer and Marketing Analytics
·
Works
closely with the Analytics team to build dashboards and visualizations
·
Contributes
to building a business analytic framework for data quality and governance
·
Implements
process improvements to enable simplified, effective, automated, standardized
analytical processes
·
Maintains
knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of
responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to
incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
·
Champions
and enhances organizational initiatives by supporting change management and/or
departmental initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
·
Participates
in the design, development and delivery of business-centric data & analytic
solutions, including large scale data blending, wrangling and integration
·
Design,
develop and implement data &analytic projects within a Cloud computing
environment and utilize Big Data platforms & tools.
EDUCATION
·
4
Year/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in
lieu of Bachelors) in Information Technology or Engineering or Mathematical
discipline
·
2
– 5+ Years Progressive experience in design, development and delivery of
business-centric analytic solutions, including relational databases, data marts,
data load processes and reporting applications (Required)
EXPERIENCE
·
~2
- 5+ Years’ experience in analyzing, designing, developing and operationalizing
data assets
·
Experience
in data & analytic process automation
·
Technology
experience in a multi-platform distributed environment.
·
Knowledge
of databases and related concepts and hands-on experience in delivery of visualizations
and data marts
·
Hands
on experience in a wide array of technology and data products in both
traditional and big data space e.g. Oracle, Greenplum, Netezza, Hadoop etc
·
Knowledge
of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and
principles.
Knowledge of analytic tools (SAS/SPSS/R), visualization/BI
tools (Tableau/Qlik) and data
