Position Title: Desktop Specialist Position Type: Full Time Perm
Job Overview
Kulicke & Soffa is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist that
possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and a variety
of assignments. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day technical support
to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems (software
and hardware), evaluate performance results and recommend changes affecting local
environment.
Main
Responsibilities:

Provides
support to end users on a variety of issues.
·
Identifies,
researches, and resolves technical problems.
·
Responds
to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
·
Documents,
tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
·
Installs,
configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network
issues in a heterogeneous environment.
Other
responsibilities may include:
·
Responds
to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users.
·
Ensures
a timely process through which problems are controlled.
·
Includes
problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps.
·
Interact
with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications
development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
·
Simulates
or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
·
Recommends
systems modifications to reduce user problems.
Desired Skills and
Experience
·
3 to 5
years desktop support experience in an enterprise environment
·
Microsoft
Certifications are Preferred
·
Knowledge
of Widows 7, MS Office Suite
·
Strong
Windows troubleshooting experience
·
Experience
with Active Directory for account management
·
Ability
to prioritize and respond to trouble tickets
·
Effective
communication skills
·
Experience
with variety of platforms to include Windows, IOS, Android and Linux
Required Education
Bachelor in Information technology or equivalent experience.
