Systems Developer

Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing complex applications with an insurance administration system. This position is involved with the full software development cycle including production support involving research and analysis

Responsibilities:

 Develop and maintain applications to meet client specifications
 Modify, repair, or expand existing programs to correct errors and/or improve performance
 Build or configure the system to perform business functions
 Work with clients to interpret specifications to development goals
 Take independent action to correct problems encountered during system operations
 Maintain integrity of program logic and coding
 Performs other duties as may be assigned

Essential:

 Proficient in Object Oriented analysis, design and programming
 Knowledgeable with JAVA programming language
 Proficiency with SQL for creating, retrieving, updating and delineating data
 Knowledgeable of HTML, CSS, and Javascript concepts
 Familiar with Design Patterns and UML notation
 Familiar with Eclipse, JBuilder, or equivalent Java IDE
 Familiar with Data Warehousing concepts and ETL process
General

 Establishes high quality work standards and is detail oriented
 Ability to think analytically about problems assigned and/or encountered
 Adjusts and is flexible to meet changing needs and demands of clients
 Performs duties with a customer service mindset

General Training and Experience
 Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
 At least two (2) years of Java development experience.

IT Software Development Internship Positions

Ideal candidate graduates May 2020.
We would like someone to intern at our HQ from Jan-May minimum 15 hours a week.
This internship could lead to possible full time hire.
We are very flexible with hours around your class schedule.

Majors: Computer Science (or related majors), Math

We are seeking students majoring in the following disciplines: Computer Science, Math, or related majors. In return, we offer worldly experience. You are paid for the hours you intern.

Responsibilities:

You get paid as well as gain the experience that is second to none!
Positions range from Software Developer to Junior PM to Business Analyst.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate to get 'hands on' IT experience. This internship pays $12/hr.
